🌍 What is ISPM 15?
ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is a global regulation developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) to prevent the spread of pests through wood packaging materials in international trade. It mandates that solid wood packaging materials (SWPM) like pallets, crates, and dunnage be treated and marked to certify they are free from pests.
🔍 Key Requirements of ISPM 15
- Superior Impact Resistance: PE45 foam can absorb and distribute impact energy effectively, making it perfect for applications where equipment or fragile items need heavy-duty protection.
- Moisture and Chemical Resistance: Since PE45 foam does not absorb water or most chemicals, it’s ideal for environments where moisture, oils, or other liquids are present. This also makes it easy to clean and maintain.
- Customizable for Various Applications: PE45 foam can be easily customized into any shape or size, making it adaptable for a wide range of products, from industrial tools to delicate electronics.
- Long-Lasting Durability: Thanks to its high compression strength and resilience, PE45 foam maintains its structural integrity over time, providing continuous protection even after repeated use.
🛠️ Benefits of Using ISPM 15 Compliant Shipping Crates
- Smooth Customs Clearance: Reduces the risk of shipment delays due to non-compliant packaging.
- Pest Prevention: Minimizes the risk of pest infestations that can damage goods and disrupt supply chains.
- Environmental Protection: Helps protect ecosystems by preventing the introduction of non-native pests through international trade.
- Cost Savings: Avoids fines, re-exportation costs, and potential destruction of non-compliant shipments.
